Happy Holidays & The Best of New Years

December 2006

Wishing you all a very Merry Happy Holiday and a Wonderful New Year. Hard to believe that 2006 is coming to an end. Time goes by so fast. Remember to cherish every single moment.

Helpful tip for this month! Keep your pets safe from the hazards of Christmas decorations such as tinsel, icicles (the fake kind), ribbon, glass, hooks, ornaments, paper and bows. Don't forget to keep the Poinsettias out of reach also. Some cats and dogs are very attracted to this stuff, and when it is ingested it can cause all kinds of problems which may include a trip to the emergency vet or the death of a beloved companion.

Don't forget to include your favorite animal companions on your gift list. They get as excited as children do. At my house, we have to wait to put the animal presents under the tree until right before the big day because two of my cats and Clover love to open their own their own gifts. Not spoiled at all! It is actually more fun for me, but don't tell them!



On The Wildside - I have more kritters here than I ever thought possible for the winter months. Here is a list: Mommy & baby tree squirrel, Ground Squirrel, Two Mourning Doves, Screech Owl, Long Ear Owl, Two Kestrels, Sharp Shin Hawk and of course my Pigeons. I will be working with the Screech Owl to make him friendly because he is not releasable with hopes of putting him into an educational program.

I would like to take a moment and thank all the wonderful animal owners that have allowed me to do what I love through their continued support. I am so blessed to work with such wonderful animals and the wonderful people that love them.
